Thanks for sharing your experience with the SWFWMD program. I appreciate you taking the time to write a comment. I'm glad to hear that the quality of the information provided has been a good match for your expectations. It's wonderful to hear that our participants are able to receive such high-quality training. That's one of the main reasons we are a public program. I'm sure your experience is representative of other programs, even though ours is fairly small. I don't want to discourage anyone from participating, but I do want people to be aware of some of the potential pitfalls when participating in an intensive training program. If you'd like to know more, I invite you to contact the program office directly. Thank you for your comment and best wishes for a safe and successful fall.
And thanks for the kind words. I am happy to hear that you have had a positive experience with the SWFWMD. To be honest, the success we have experienced in southwest Florida has not been as great as we had hoped initially. I think we have all learned from that and are looking forward to a more successful program in the future. I have not been surprised by the level of entomological expertise in the program, but I have been surprised at the level of organic certifications that have been obtained by many participants. I am also impressed at the number of participants who have recently graduated from college and are now looking to start a career in the organic certification field. We have recently expanded the scope of our training programs to include up to date information and training on the COVID-19 and all the other health and safety guidelines that have been released by the state and federal government. If you have any questions or concerns about any of our training classes, please contact the program office directly and they will be happy to assist you. Thank you for your interest and best wishes for a happy and successful fall!
Hi, Debbie. Thanks for your comment. Right now, the simplest way to get this information is to visit the Southwest Florida Water Management District publications page and order a (free) copy: -publications?keywords=florida-friendly&sort_by=title&sort_order=ASC. If you have any other questions or concerns, I hope this helps!
