3 Days in Paradise
We just came back from 3 amazing days at the beach at a new Boutique Hotel called Chantli Mare Villa and Inn-by-the-sea.
Our friend Chef Greg Couillard from Number FOUR Restaurant is designing the menu for this new hotel and is training Chef Erik also from Number Four and Hole-in-One to be the resident chef.
The owners are Roberto and Ibett Contreras and their son, Roberto, was the architect for this magnificent property.
Roberto’s cell is 333 379 3408 and the phone # of the hotel is 315 107 9957. Their email is: roberto@chantlimare.com and they have a web site: www.chantlimare.com
Chantli Mare is located at Km 2 Carretera a Boca de Iguanas C.P. 48898 Costa Alegre, Jalisco, Mexico close to La Manzanilla. I will be posting a map at a later date along with more specific particulars about rates menus etc. We went down on a recommendation from Chef Greg and were totally thrilled at the beauty of the property when we arrived with our daughter, her boyfriend, and our 2 dogs. Chantli Mare is Pet Friendly.
The property is right on the ocean and the view from the rooms and outdoor area is nothing less than spectacular. There are 6 rooms and it has a wonderful private feeling. You eat your meals on a patio overlooking the beach and the meals are the best we have had in Mexico. A Continental breakfast is included in the price.
There is a wonderful staff whose only reason for living is to make your life one of delight and comfort. Mario, Beto and Consuela looked after us and our dogs beautifully. Our every wish was immediately attended to and we wanted for nothing.
The owners are extremely amiable and we felt very special indeed.
Their attention to detail impressed us greatly and we have had the good fortune to stay at some wonderful places all over the world. The towels are thick, fluffy and monogramed. The soap is wrapped in burlap. There is a robe in the bathroom which is delightful and the room which overlooked the ocean of course was magnificently appointed. They have Sky TV in every room and are working on internet access.
Everywhere you look is a perfect photograph. If you want to see some pictures of Chantli Mare you are invited to go to my facebook page – Judy Wallis.
We originally had booked for 2 nights but on arrival knew we were going to stay the extra day. There is nothing any one of us would have changed about the people, the property, the food or the weather. There is, of course, air conditioning in every room.
