2014

On the 1st of January 2014 something very rare will happen.

We will start the first day of the New Year with a New Moon.

This almost never happens.  In fact, 19 years ago was the last time we had a New Moon on a New Year.

A New Moon is all about new beginnings and fresh starts.

This year we can truly wipe the slate clean and start the New Year, a new you.

I find this very inspiring even though I cannot really complain about 2013 which was also a very good year for us.

Everyone is busy making their New Year’s resolutions.  Popular ones are starting that diet, quitting smoking and in general being a kinder person.

These resolutions usually get broken by January 10th.  Diets do not work – one needs to change their lifestyle and one can only quit smoking when one makes the decision to quit.  That is the hard part.  Once you have made the decision to quit you will find a way to make that happen.

Wanting to become a kinder person is a noble endeavor and the world would be a much better place if we all could keep this one resolution.  I love how Ellen Degeneres always ends her show by asking people to be kind to one another.

Adopting a positive attitude can go a long way to changing how your life will be.  Instead of asking “Why me?” try asking “What can I do to make things better for others?”

Mother Teresa (God rest her soul) and Anthony Robbins (the life coach and motivational speaker) were said to be very alike inasmuch as helping others is what made them happy.  Albeit they had different methods but both achieve tremendous results nonetheless.

Tomorrow is December 31st and New Year’s Eve and I want to wish everyone a very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year.

If you drink drive.

Make 2014 your year.

Good Luck!
