I have now obtained more information about Alex’s Pasta Bar and have the menu to share with you.
Alex’s Pasta Bar is located on Juan Alvarex #71 in Ajijic just south of the Ajijic Plaza Casino and their phone # is (376) 766-2034 or cell 331 022 9431 for reservations.
They are open Tuesday through SAturday from 12:00 noon to 8:00 pm and are closed Sunday and Monday.
They have a Stracciatella soup which is classic Italian soup of homemade chicken broth laced with creamy strands of Parmesan cheese and egg for 50 pesos.
Their salad is a fresh, flavorful mix of lettuce, red onion, avocado and mango tossed in a honey lime vinaigrette for 45 pesos.
Antipasti choices consist of:
Pate di Pesce di Mare – Homemade salmon and grouper pate. 80 pesos
Gravlax – Salmon cured in-house servewith black olives, red onions, capers and chopped eggs. 75 pesos
Octopus Carpaccio – A light, delicious appetizer. 75 pesos
Piatto Msto – A taster’s platter of both Gravlax and Octopus Carpaccio. 95 pesos
Filet of Beef Carpaccio – Servies with shaved Prmesan, fresh parsley, cold pressed olive oil and mushrooms. 80 pesos
Salame – Home-cured pork and beef salami served with pickles. 60 pesos
Proscuiutto Crudo – Dry-cured ham slaiced plaper=thin. 80 pesos
Pate di Casa – Rustic, homemade pork and beef pate. 60 pesos
Piatto Msto – A taster’s platter of salami, proscuiutto and pate. 110 pesos
