All Aboard the Orient Express
This is the theme of this year’s Gala Dinner Dance at the Real de Chapala in Lower La Floresta in Ajijic, Lake Chapala.
The date is Thursday, March 14th, 2013 at 6:30 pm. Cost is $500.00 pesos per person and tables of ten are available along with individual reservations.
There also will be a live auction and exciting silent auction and dancing to Black Swan.
This gala event is the year’s biggest benefit for the charity Ninos Incapacitados which is one of the oldest and most respected charities in Ajijic, Lake Chapala. We attend this function every year and have always thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is beautiful overlooking Lake Chapala and the garden is magically lit and decorated for the event. The food, usually catered from a company in Guadalajara, is excellent and very good wine flows.
The auctions are fun and some great deal can be made. It is a wonderful event to see everyone and to dress up in a motif and this year it is the Orient Express which is an elegant train that makes various stops in Europe and the tables are being named after these stops i.e. Rome.
For us it is a step back in time to kinder, gentler times and the mood is always gay and exciting.
We recommend you come and join us and you too will have a wonderful evening.
