Gratefulness
Being grateful is one of the best feelings in the world and some say it is, indeed, the best.
As we just celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving I would like to tell you some of the things that I am grateful for in no particular order.
I am grateful for my wonderful husband and am proud of him and his accomplishments every day. I am grateful for our 35 years together and would wish for another 35.
I am grateful for my three beautiful children and our amazing grandson and my lovely, kind daughter-in-law.
I am grateful for our three loving dogs and those that are now in heaven. Their unconditional love is such a gift and we will endeavor to give them the best lives possible.
I am grateful for my parents and mother and father-in-law who now rest in heaven. We were so lucky to have them in our lives for so long and I love and miss them every day.
I am grateful for our life in Mexico for the last 19 years with its excellent weather and warm Mexican people. I am grateful for year round flowers and flowering trees and wonderful smells and that we had a good rainy season filling up our Lake Chapala.
I am grateful for our friends for their friendship, caring and generosity of time and spirit
I am grateful our family is coming home for Christmas along with our best friends.
I am grateful for the ability to help others and animals in need of homes.
I am grateful for our health. Without good health nothing else matters so it should never be taken for granted.
I am grateful for all those people who help to make our life here in Ajijic, Lake Chapala better and easier.
I am grateful for the power of prayer and for all the blessings that we have every day.
As the song says “These are a few of my favorite things”.
