Johanna’s Restaurant in Ajijic, Lake Chapala is a very undersung establishment. We have enjoyed many excellent meals at Johanna’s and the food is always expertly prepared authentic German food. Some menu examples are: Bratwurst, Sauerkraut, Potatoes $119.00 Wienerschnitzel, Red Cabbage, Potatoes $115.00 Goulash with Spatzle, Potatoes $ 138.00 They have German beer and Apple or Plum Strudel for dessert. They have daily specials too and are open Tuesday to Sunday 12:30 pm – 8:00 pm (except Thursday which is open until 5:30 pm. It is small, clean with a nice outdoor area as well.  The service is always good and they have a decent wine list.
