La Nueva Posada in Ajijic, Lake Chapala, Mexico

Judy and Morley Eager virtually put Ajijic on the map when they arrived here from Ontario, Canada over 30 years ago.

They took over management of La Posada (the Old Posada) and have been in La Nueva Posada for 20 years which they built from scratch with their son, Michael Eager, and daughter-in-law, Maria Elena Eager Hinojosa.

La Nueva Posada is an institution in Ajijic, Lake Chapala and still is the hub of many activities for the community of both Mexican and ex-pats.

La Nueva Posada is truly an Eager family business and now some of Judy Eager’s grandchildren, Michael Jr., Wendy and Kristina are also involved in the day to day managing of the business.

To many of us Michael Eager is the “Godfather” as he always takes time to answer any and all questions and to help everyone who is lucky enough to walk through their doors.

La Nueva Posada has also been home to many weddings when they turn their beautiful gardens into a magical space complete with filmy white tents and a profusion of flowers.

Whatever your event you can be confident that La Nueva Posada will take all necessary steps to make it a huge success.
