Learning About Your Computer
Aging is not for the weak of heart but the ability to learn something new at our age is fantastic and can be very exciting.
One of the things I really enjoyed and continue to enjoy is learning the beauty and simplicity of the Spanish language.
Our daughters who grew up here in Ajijic, Lake Chapala now think and dream in Spanish and love it because there are so many ways one can express yourself.
Another thing I am enjoying learning is that there are so many things and programs I did not know I had on my laptop.
I remember watching people send videos to the media, www.youtube.com etc. and always wondered how they did that. As is turns out most recent computers, tablets, ipads etc. have this capability and so many other options.
I think it is a good idea for one to take a tour of whatever device they have so you can broaden your horizons, learn something new and realize how very easy it is to stay in touch with friends and family not lucky enough to be living here in Ajijic, Lake Chapala.
Now that the holidays are upon us you can send videos with sound to those loved ones you are unable to be with this holiday season.
You can also, with certain devices, take panoramic pictures of your home here as well as the surrounding mountains and beautiful Lake Chapala. Speaking of the mountains, very soon now the yellow wild flowers will appear heralding the cooler weather and the onset of US Thanksgiving (November 28th) and Navidad.
To find out what is on your computer go to the place where it shows you “all programs” and happily browse the many options you have for hours of interesting possibilities.
If you have any difficulty with any of this or learning how to use your device of choice, just ask any 5 year old friend or family member to assist you with great pleasure.
