R.I.P. Laurie Clark
We lost a very dear friend to cancer Friday, May17th.
Laurie and her husband came to Ajijic, Lake Chapala in 1999 and set up house with their Rottweiler, Chili, and their pet parrot, Coco.
They both worked at Eager and Associates Real Estate but unfortunately, Laurie’s husband, Graeme, passed away from pancreatic cancer in February of 2002 at the young age of 37.
Laurie chose to stay here and with her Diploma in Business from Wilfrid Laurier University in Canada and a further financial degree in Guadalajara she moved into the world of finance at Multi Valores and then worked at Actinver Casa de Bolsa as an Asesor or Account Executive.
Graeme and Laurie were a very popular well- loved couple and made friends easily. Laurie was from Bracebridge, Ontario, Canada.
After Graeme passed very suddenly in 2002 Laurie’s friends rallied around her to help her get through becoming a widow at such a young age.
Laurie threw herself into her work and was surrounding by her friends but somehow it was never the same without her dear husband by her side
There will be a Memorial for Laurie today, May 21st, at Actinver beside Farmacia Guadalajara on the Carretera from 4:00 – 6:00 pm.
As my husband worked with Eager and Associates at the same time as Graeme and Laurie we got to know them very well. We have sorely missed Graeme over the years and will certainly miss Laurie’s beautiful smiling face too. We lost both of these wonderful young people far too soon.
The only comfort I have is knowing that now Laurie will be reunited with her darling Graeme. May they both R.I.P.
