Super Pescaderia Pacifico

Super Pescaderia Pacifico is a fish market on the west side of Ajijic, Lake Chapala, on Carretera Poinente # 232.  They are in the same plaza as La Taverna on the east end.  Their phone # is (376) 766-2203.

I first went to Pacifico when I was looking for jumbo shrimp for a dinner party.  I arrived just as the shrimp man drove up and I was delighted with the shrimp I purchased.  I was delighted with the quality and the price was amazing.  The shrimp were delicious and we all enjoyed them thoroughly in a Jamaican Jerk Sauce prepared by our daughter.

Fresh Seafood, Caribbean Product Sales, Lobster Tail and Canadian King Crab along with many other varieties of fish and shellfish.

There is a man who will clean and filet your fish for you and it is customary to give him a tip of between 10 and 20%.

On Saturdays and Sundays they BBQ shrimp and corvina fish from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm  in the Zarandeado Style.  Everyone who has taken home this grilled fish has been thrilled with the taste and perfection of the grilling.

They also have scallops of all sizes and I would be surprised if you went to Pacifico and did not find exactly what you were looking for at a price you were happy to pay.

Pacifico supplies the fish and seafood for many local restaurants but always looks after their individual customers as well.

I, for one, am delighted we have this excellent pescaderia in our beautiful village in the sun.

There is also a rumor that a bakery is moving close to Pacifico so you will be able to buy your fish and seafood and the fresh bread to mop up the wonderful sauce in which you serve them.
