Thanksgiving at La Nueva Posada

Thursday, November 28th, 2013 is US Thanksgiving and many restaurants in Ajijic, Lake Chapala are doing special Thanksgiving menus.  You can check them out in this week’s Guadalajara Reporter.

I would like to tell you about the special menu at La Nueva Posada.

First there will be a Vegetable Planner with fresh Herb Dip followed by Pilgrim Chowder.  There will be a croissant and butter.

The main will be Traditional Roast Turkey, Savory Dressing, Butter Whipped Potatoes, Giblet Gravy, Cranberry Sauce, Nut Candied Yams, Danish Sweet and Sour Red Cabbage and English Peas with Fresh Mint

For dessert there will be Bourbon Pumpkin Pie with Vanilla Scented Cream.  Coffee or tea will be served with Kahlua or Brandy.

There will be three sittings for this feast  1:30 pm, 3:30 pm and 6:30 pm

The cost for Adults is $280.00 pesos and Children under 12 $190.00 pesos.  These prices include 16% tax and tip.

We always look forward to and enjoy this Traditional Thanksgiving with the Eagers at La Nueva Posada.  My husband and Michael Eager have been friends since they were 13 years old.

Thanksgiving is about family and friends and the Eager family is family to us as well as wonderful friends.  Our kids call each other primos (cousins) and they call Michael Eager Uncle Mike and Judy Eager Grandma.

We always miss our family during these family events but feel very fortunate that we have the Eagers (owners of La Nueva Posada) to celebrate with.

It is also the best Thanksgiving dinner in town.
