The British Invasion by Ninos Incapacitados

Last night was the last event of the season for Ninos Incapacitados.  The theme was The British Invasion and some of the 466 attendees came in Carnaby Street costumes of the 60’s.

We had a beautiful night and on arriving you could have your picture taken in front of an authentic London, England cab.

There were over 400 items in the silent auction and many wonderful live auction items including dinners and fabulous golf trips raised a lot of money for one of Ajijic’s oldest and best charities – Ninos Incapacitados.

There was an army of volunteers necessary to put on this event of silent and live auctions, a cocktail party, buffet dinner and the wine was flowing thanks to Mike and Monica Molloy.  There were a few speeches thanking everyone for their contributions and several bands came out from Guadalajara to entertain us with ’64 – ’66 British Bands.

Dancing under the stars is always a highlight and a good time was had by all.

I spoke to the exciting President who was particularly happy as this season has been one of the best fund raising seasons for Ninos Capacitados in history.

There has been several events such as a Jazz Concert with Canadian legend, Guido Basso, Triva Night and many more.

We attended most of these events and were delighted to see such great attendance and participation by the local community.

We urge you to get involved with this very worthwhile charity.  You can contact them at www.programaninos.org to see how you can get involved.
