I was one of those people that certainly would have opposed a Wal-Mart in our beautiful little village in the sun if I was given a choice but now that it is here I do shop there once or twice a month.
Today was a very positive shopping expedition. I needed drugs and they do have the best drug prices in town and they had everything on my list.
I needed meat and they had wonderful cuts of everything I wanted at great prices and they even had turkey legs which I had earmarked for our Sunday BBQ.
They did have a Crock Pot but it was only good for 2-3 people and I needed one for more people as we will have a houseful this holiday season. I also needed a new dog dish but the size I needed did not have the rubber ring around it which keeps it from sliding. I will get one next time.
They had the spices I needed and the Multigrain Special K cereal and Multigrain New York Bagels which are wonderful.
They had all the produce I had on my list and I even got some lovely fresh Portobello mushrooms.
I noticed they had everything one could possibly want in Christmas decorations and all the fixings for a wonderful home-cooked Thanksgiving dinner including a large selection of turkeys.
They do also have a 60” television on sale for a very reasonable price. But I digress. I am not in the market for a TV set as we already have 5.
I got my favorite sugar free cookies and Special K bars which I enjoy for breakfast with my diet Café Ole which is a delicious cold cappuccino drink not unlike Starbucks Frappuccino but about half the price
They also had their delicious fresh daily roasted chickens available which I scooped up for dinner along with some fresh baby spinach.
Another thing I always enjoy is The Laughing Cow Lite cheese which is in the section with the bacon.
I got my Arm and Hammer liquid detergent, Cottonelle and Kleenex.
Today it truly was a wonderful one stop shopping experience.
Wal-Mart was not too busy today so I was in and out in under an hour. I do not recommend Sunday shopping as it seems to be family day.
Wal-Mart is located on the carratera at the libramiento.
